Learn More about Future Voices
We, Future Voices, are a collective of student nurses at all levels of education, working to create a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse College of Nursing at CU Anschutz. Welcome- we're glad to have you with us!
Future Voices was formed in 2020 by a group of nursing students who wanted to create change within the college of nursing. We are an autonomous group who serves the students of our college. If you are a student and feel that your voice is underrepresented, or that there is room for change within the college of nursing, then you have come to the right place. We hope that together we can create positive, lasting change that makes the college a safe and inclusive place for all students, and that stops the perpetuation of healthcare injustices. Below are our collective organizational goals:
- Amplify the voices of underrepresented students and community members on campus.
- hold faculty accountable to creating safe space in their classes and engaging in the difficult conversations in class that will prepare us to be good nurses for ALL of our patients.
- act as a liaison between students and faculty regarding matters of diversity, inclusivity, and equity. Support students through the process of approaching faculty and staff over tough issues.
- Take action in support of antiracist, intersectional, and inclusive ideals on our campus and within our curriculum and overall education.
